TSG44. Did you miss the deadline? We got you covered!
the Sketchbook Gallery is open and growing!
Dear Sketchbookers,
Last week, we proudly announced the launch of the Sketchbook Gallery, and the response has been nothing but amazing. The initial round of submissions has brought in a treasure chest of creativity, and I’m thrilled to see the variety and depth of the work shared so far.
But here’s the exciting news: The Sketchbook Gallery will remain open for the foreseeable future! This means there’s still time for you to share your sketchbook pages and become a part of this growing community. It’s truly inspiring to see how this gallery is becoming a new avenue for discovering and connecting with fellow artists. Here is a snippet of the Sketchbook Gallery

A Book That Sparked My Imagination
Over the past few months, I’ve found tremendous inspiration in a particular book that has reshaped the way I think about sketchbooks and art. The book is called “Illustrator’s Sketchbooks” by Martin Salisbury and it is full of amazing pictures from illustrators from all over the world. It’s my wish that we can create something equally inspiring through our Sketchbook Gallery—an ever-expanding collection that showcases the diversity and creativity of our community. Leave a comment if you also would like to see this dream come true!
To give you a taste of what’s possible, I’ve included a video that highlights my favorite pages from this book. I hope it stirs up your imagination as much as it did mine.
Spotlight on Submissions
I also want to take a moment to shine a light on some of the incredible work that has already been submitted, I fell in love with so many sketchbook pages! Below are five entries that capture the spirit and creativity of the Sketchbook Gallery:
Andrea Pardo is a Latina illustrator based in Queens, New York. Her artwork combines bright color palettes with interesting textures. Inspired by the beauty of nature she often incorporates surrealism to tell stories that transport us to other worlds. By incorporating lettering into her work, she provides an extra layer of depth and meaning to her illustrations. She is strongly influenced by her Latin American culture and heritage, also serving as a bridge between her culture and the rest of the world, helping to promote cultural appreciation and understanding.
- is an author of MG and YA fiction, and an illustrator working on her first graphic novel. She loves drawing characters that make people laugh...and also mermaids.
- . I'm a Designer for Brands sharing Industry Insights, Art, Illustrations and Sketchbooking obsessions. I'm passionate about cultivating a creative career for life, and building my artist body of work. Born and raised in London, to a South Asian Punjabi family, I now live and work in Germany with my husband, son and Giant Schnauzer Nala.
- Martin. I’m self taught artist, illustrator and graphic designer living and working in the beautiful Harbourfront neighbourhood of Toronto. I’m also the caretaker of the amazingly creative and supportive ART HANG PARTY! community, a free weekly live drawing session full of fast-paced drawing a lot of fun!
- .Hello! I'm a doting “parront” by day and comic artist by night. In my spare time, I love planning out graphic novels (published two so far!), drawing cozy webcomics, and reading just about anything for inspiration. As a pen enthusiast, I enjoy sketching and shading with different pens. I hope to share more about my upcoming book projects and sketches in my newsletter!
